The Plains of the Midwest evokes the openness and quiet strength of the heartland, with long-breathed lines and rhythmic motion suggesting wind across fields, rolling grass, and the steady pulse of rural life. The set concludes with Fête Américaine, a more festive and animated piece, bringing together celebration, movement, and flashes of color in a spirited close that suggests community, lights, music, and public joy.
