This piece was written for my wife, a photographer, inspired by a series of images she created—many filled with rich, autumnal color and light. During a trip to Canada, including a visit to Île d’Orléans, she captured a remarkable collection of photographs that were both vivid and deeply atmospheric. Wanting to complement her work, I composed a suite of short pieces to accompany a slideshow of her images.
Over time, these individual musical ideas were shaped and blended into a single six-minute collage, designed to flow seamlessly beneath the visual presentation. The music was not meant to dominate, but to enhance—to reflect the colors, textures, and quiet beauty of her photography. The result was something truly special: a union of sound and image that felt almost magical in its effect. It remains a project I am especially proud of, not only for the music itself, but for the opportunity to celebrate her extraordinary artistic vision.
